The Haven Ugborough South Devon Holiday Home

The Haven is a period 19th century property but, following a full renovation in 2014, it has all the comforts of a modern home including underfloor heating, a comfortable living room & a spacious, light-filled kitchen/dining room. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are finished to a high standard. There is also a fully-enclosed but sunny back garden with lawn & terrace.

You will find The Haven right in the middle of the village square, with two pubs within very close walking distance of the front door. Ugborough is a charming South Hams village: very peaceful with no main roads going through it but only minutes away from the A38. It is also perfectly situated for easy access to the beautiful countryside, with the south edge of Dartmoor only 10 minutes' drive and our favourite beach 15 minutes' drive. 

I was born and grew up in South West Devon and still have family there. My husband and I were delighted to be able to buy a house only a few miles from my childhood home so that we can have our own family base in the South Hams and can show our children the best of this beautiful part of the world. When we are not using The Haven, we rent it out so that others can enjoy the unique location, sandwiched between the coast and Dartmoor.

This house was called The Haven when we bought it and we have kept the name as it seems appropriate – a little escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We hope you will be relaxed, comfortable and happy in The Haven and enjoy it as much as we do!
